Professor Adalat Jalal Muradov

Was born on January 29, 1962.

Graduated from the chemistry-biological oriented school №5 in 1979;
Did his military service as a soldier  at the Siberian Military District within1980-1982 years..

Entered the School of Economy of Kiev State University named after Taras Shevchenko in 1985 and graduated from with honors in 1990.

He won the second place at the Union- wide Olympiad on “Organization of economy and production” held among students in 1989.

In 1990 he entered the full-time graduate course of Kiev State University and in 1993 he defended his thesis on “Structural changes of the regional economy in the  transition to the market economy.   In 1994, he headed the “Profi – AD” LTD (Kiev) company.

He entered the doctorate of the Kiev State University in 1995 and successfully defended the doctoral thesis on “Integration of the transition economy into the world economy” in 1998.

He performed a pedagogical activity at the Kiev State University named after T.Shevchenko in the years of 1995-1999 and conducted classes on “Macro-economy”, “Economic policy”, “International economy’ and “General theory of transition economy”.

He worked as a director of the Department “Analysis of the transformation of post-soviet transition economies” at “Austria Securities (Ukraine)” Investment Bank in 1998-1999ss.

He was employed as a professor at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan beginning from 1999 and taught the disciplines “Macro-economy”, “Public regulation of economy” and “Economic policy of Azerbaijan”. He is the author of 3 textbooks, 3 monographs, 3 education programs and more than 60 scientific articles.

He participated in the programs such as “Social market economy” in Germany, “Membership to the World Trade Organization” in Japan, “Cooperation between executive and legislative bodies in drafting of legislations” in USA, “Trade negotiators and administrators of developing countries” in Holland and worked as an UNCTAD expert.

He worked at the Ministry of Economic Development (Ministry of Economy and Industry) of the Republic of Azerbaijan beginning from 2002. He headed the Department “Macroeconomic analysis and forecasting of the Ministry within 2002-2007 years, Department “Foreign trade policy and World Trade Organization” in the years of 2007-2009 and Department “Economic policy, analysis and forecasting” over 2009-2014. He was a member of the Board of the Ministry of Economic Development, as well as WTO Accession Negotiation Team of Azerbaijan and head of the Working Group on Services.

He is a civil service counselor.

He was the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the “Bakielektrikshebeke” OSC since 2009, member of the Commission on expenditure of the State Budget, member of the Trustee Council of the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund, member of the Methodology Council of the State Statistics Committee and deputy chairman of the Expert Council on Economy (economy and law) of the Higher Attestation Commission under the auspice of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan within 2011-2014 years.

On September 24, 2020, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of  Azerbaijan State University of Economics and for his services to the development of education in Azerbaijan, he was awarded the Order of Glory.

He speaks English, Ukrainian and Russian languages.

He is married, has got two children.
