Abstract
The aim of the study is to predict the global population for 2030, taking into account population growth over time and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the re-search work, having considered the historical aspects of demographic development, hypotheses and concepts about the role of the population in the future development of mankind were analyzed. The relevance of the study is that it covers the main processes in the field of population growth regulation, which is one of the global problems of our time. The solution of the tasks set in the work was carried out on the basis of the application of general scientific research methods within the framework of logical, comparative and statistical analysis, as well as through the analysis of structure and dynamics, graphic interpretation of information, the use of mathematical methods, in particular the trend model. As a result of the study, an econometric model of the depen-dence of the world's population growth on time and the COVID-19 pandemic was built, and based on the assessment of this model, forecasts are presented. The practical significance of the study is that the results of the study can be used by researchers in the field of demographic problems.
